Fabuloso Products Recall: What You Need To Know Now

A wide-reaching recall of select Fabuloso products may have affected consumers across Canada and the United States of America who recently purchased them online or in retail stores. Colgate-Palmolive has voluntarily recalled 4.9 million bottles of their multipurpose cleaner, Fabuloso. Health and safety hazards exist with the affected products, so consumers should be careful not to continue using them. What Caused the Fabuloso Recall?

Fabuloso cleaning products are being pulled from the market due to an increased risk of bacteria growth. According to the manufacturers, this recall is due to inadequate levels of a preservative added to the products. Consequently, these products have increased bacteria growth risks due to insufficient preservative levels. 

What Type Of Bacteria Is In Fabuloso?

These cleaning supplies can contain bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas flurescens, normally found in soil and water.

What Fabuloso Products Are Being Recalled?

The affected Fabuloso products were all produced from December 14, 2022, through January 23, 2023. Fabuloso products with lavender, refreshing lemon, passion of fruits, spring fresh, and ocean scents may be affected by this Fabuloso products recall. 

According to fabuloso.com/recall, 3.9 million of the 4.9 million affected bottles were not released for sale. Nonetheless, 20 percent of the affected bottles of Fabuloso were distributed and are potentially reimbursable. The following list shows which Fabuloso cleaning products are being recalled.

What Should People Who Purchased Recalled Fabuloso Products Do?

If you purchased any of the Fabuloso products that were affected, you should stop using them immediately and contact the company for a refund. In addition, the company has advised consumers not to pour out the contents of the affected bottles to avoid the risk of bacterial infection.

How to Request A Reimbursement On Recalled Fabuloso Products

In order to confirm that their product is eligible for reimbursement, affected customers should double-check their product labels, 12-digit UPC codes, and manufacturing lot codes (embossed in the plastic of the bottle). For your convenience, we have listed the products and UPC codes that are affected below.

In the event that your Fabuloso product is included in this recall, you should request reimbursement for its purchase. To process your refund request for recalled Fabuloso products, complete this form. Customers are encouraged to provide pictures of their product labels, for easy identification. Including the customer’s name, address, and UPC number will help the refund process go more smoothly.

Which Fabuloso Cleaning Products Were NOT Affected By The Recall? 

Despite the recent recall, not all Fabuloso products were affected. For example, this recall does not apply to products that say “made in Mexico” on the back.
